About The Position

The Associate Engineer supports product development by working on assigned product specifications and requirements, project plans, and engineering activities. The role uses established precedents, methods, tools, and procedural guidance to complete assigned parts or steps of development projects, such as designing parts to specifications with 3D design and simulation programs. It also supports engineers in resolving technical issues and may involve building or testing prototypes, calibrating, calculating, and upscaling. The Associate Engineer cooperates with or supports external service providers.

The broader product-development work described includes coordinating engineering disciplines and activities such as product design, simulation, and testing, and cooperating with Manufacturing Product Integration to improve product yield and functioning. Applicants must qualify as “U.S. Persons” under U.S. federal law because the position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned parts or steps in product development projects using established procedures and guidance.
• Design parts according to specifications using 3D design and simulation programs.
• Support engineers in solving issues and problems, including building or testing prototypes, calibrating, calculating, and upscaling.
• Cooperate with or support external service providers in their work.
• Contribute to product development activities involving engineering disciplines, design, simulation, and testing.
• Cooperate with Manufacturing Product Integration to help increase product yield and functioning.
