Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Product Support / Engineer Product Support. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Systems Sector in one of the following locations: San Diego, CA / Redondo Beach, CA / El Segundo, CA / Palmdale, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Product Support organization. The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Requirements

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar STEM degree.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
  • Be completing or has completed their Master’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2027 or is completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2 years of related Product Support Engineering experience by August 2027.
  • Basic knowledge of design and analysis tools for mechanical design as well as basic drafting skills to include a working knowledge of solid modeling techniques (NX, Pro Engineer, or CATIA).

Responsibilities

  • Plans and executes schedules for engineering design package development and release to meet mission needs
  • Technical impact assessment, planning and strategy for change implementation
  • Gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers, and performing basic stress and tolerance analysis
  • Acting as manufacturing liaison during build process of projects to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved
  • Development of test plans and performing environmental testing of Support Equipment
  • Testing and integration of manufactured Support Equipment
