About The Position

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop Electrical design for Industrial Manufacturing projects, which includes the manufacturing, ag/bio-process, food/beverage, oil refining, and packaging industries. Candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrate initiative. You will develop a variety of complex engineering deliverables including one-line diagrams, schematics, power and lighting plans, panel schedules, field instrumentation, electrical installation details, and technical specifications. You will function in a technical specialist capacity. Under general supervision, performs all aspects of conventional design engineering and analysis. Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, including process, mechanical, instrumentation and controls, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines. This role involves continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area, coordination with regional and global design teams, and performing project studies such as Energy Optimization, Power System Coordination, and Arc Flash Hazard Analysis. You will also be responsible for construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues. This role will support projects for North America.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • EIT/EI, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Consulting and Industrial Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Power system analysis experience in SKM, ETAP, or other analysis software a plus.
  • Basic understanding of NEC/NFPA 70 requirements, and hazardous classified area concepts preferred.
  • Familiarity with PLC wiring and controls is preferred. PLC programming experience is not required.
  • AutoCAD experience.
