About The Position

The Associate - Corporate, Specialty and Government Banking PM - Licensed supports the CSG Credit Products team and its ongoing portfolio management and underwriting activities. Building on an Analyst foundation, the Associate analyzes and summarizes the creditworthiness of clients and prospects, including cash flow analysis and modeling, capitalization, industry research, credit policy, and legal documentation. The role involves frequent collaboration with Relationship Management, Credit Administration, Capital Markets, and other product partners.

This is a developmental role for colleagues pursuing a career in Portfolio Management, and may also support career paths in Relationship Management, Credit, Capital Markets, or other Commercial roles. More experienced Associates may receive direct portfolio management coverage responsibilities, typically with oversight from a Director-level Portfolio Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses, or pass the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 63, and Series 79 exams to obtain the Series 63 and 79 licenses within four months of hire.
• At least 2 years of experience in an underwriting or commercial banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze financial and business information to determine creditworthiness for loan and credit products.
• Complete financial spreads, risk ratings, performance tearsheets, compliance testing, and other portfolio monitoring and maintenance activities.
• Underwrite complex commercial loans in accordance with Huntington credit policies, including financial statement and collateral analysis, financial modeling, industry and business risk evaluation, and management assessment.
• Conduct industry and market research using available resources and distill key themes and conclusions into concise summaries for presentation.
• For more experienced Associates, manage direct portfolio coverage, typically under the oversight of a Director-level Portfolio Manager.
• Assist with training and mentoring Analyst-level colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
