About The Position

The Associate, Sustainment Electrical Engineer will be involved in technical coordination for modification, maintenance, and repair of aircraft electrical systems, electro-mechanical systems, and including equipment installations. The engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of electrical analysis for application to integrated system design, maintenance, and repair while maintaining awareness of program considerations. The liaison/sustainment engineering role includes support in the transition from engineering design to manufacturing, assembly, and aircraft installation of designed products as well as the application of principles supporting aircraft life cycle maintenance (repair, rework and designing replacement parts). Liaison/Sustainment engineers have the opportunity for work competency on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering Technology or in a STEM Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) OR completed Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to walk to and from the flight line.
  • Ability to work in aircraft hangar and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to board/exit aircraft.
  • Ability to access and maneuver in restricted/limited spaces such as aircraft wing and body fuel tanks.
  • Ability to walk on wings and fuselage (with appropriate safety gear).
