About The Position

The Associate Distribution Operations Engineering position supports PG&E’s Electric Distribution Control Centers and provides an opportunity to learn, grow, and develop. PG&E’s distribution system includes more than 3,200 feeders, 1,200 distribution substation banks, and 275 distribution substations serving over 5 million customers across northern and central California. The system includes distribution voltages of 4 kV, 12 kV, 17 kV, 21 kV, and 34 kV, across a service territory of more than 74,000 square miles. This is a hybrid position, working from a remote office and an assigned work location within the PG&E service territory based on business need. The role provides engineering support for distribution operations, including operational analysis, system reliability and equipment support, engineering studies, and response to system emergencies. Support for emergencies may occur during normal or after-hours and includes an on-call requirement. The work schedule is flexible and will be determined. The position is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) and is subject to collective bargaining. The posted annual salary range is $99,936 to $157,596 for California. Actual compensation depends on factors including skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
