The American Physical Society (APS) is seeking a dynamic and personable individual with a strong scientific background to join its close-knit team of editors for the Physical Review E (PRE) journal. PRE is a premier interdisciplinary journal for high-quality developments in statistical, nonlinear, complex systems, biological, soft matter, fluids, plasma, and computational physics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence. As an Associate Editor, you will manage all phases of the peer review process, decide which papers to publish, stay engaged with the physics community, attend meetings, and participate in editorial initiatives and APS projects. No prior editorial experience is required, as training will be provided, but familiarity with the review process as an author and referee is expected. Candidates with significant editorial experience may qualify for a senior position. This is a full-time position and does not include visa sponsorship.
