About The Position

The Associate Director Training Program is designed to attract prospective candidates to serve on the Keys Federal Credit Union (KFCU) Board of Directors. This program offers participants the opportunity to experience the duties and responsibilities of a director through regular monthly meetings and special committee assignments, without voting authority. Participation in this program does not guarantee a position on the Board of Directors; interested individuals must be nominated for election during the annual membership meeting.

Requirements

  • Must be a member in good standing of the KFCU.
  • Must agree to an KFCU background and credit report investigation.
  • Must adhere to all Keys Federal Credit Union Policies.
  • Must sign the Confidentiality Policy Pledge.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience the duties and responsibilities of a director during normal monthly meetings and special committee assignments without voting authority.

Responsibilities

  • Attend regular monthly Board meetings and credit union functions as directed by the Chairman of the Board or committee chairman, unless prevented by circumstances beyond your control.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of credit union information, operations, and member information.
  • Strive to continually learn more about the credit union movement, organization, operations, services, and individual responsibilities as an Associate Director by availing yourself of appropriate educational opportunities.
  • Ensure that you have no conflicts of interest, actual or perceived, and immediately disclose any that arise to the Chairman of the Board.
  • Participate to the best of your ability in matters coming before the Board.
  • Complete the Credit Union National Association's Volunteer Achievement Program Board of Director's Module.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner that reflects favorably on the credit union and adhere to the highest standards of ethics and business conduct.
