About The Position

In Mercy Hill Kids, the Associate Director is responsible for overseeing the outworking of the ministry at their respective campus to ensure effectiveness of parent equipping, leadership investment, and gospel engagement. This is primarily accomplished by aiding in the development and oversight of kids programming on a campus level, as well as assisting in events and other responsibilities to further the ministry as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the outworking of Mercy Hill Kids at his/her respective campus to ensure effectiveness of parent equipping, leadership investment, and gospel engagement.
  • Aid in developing and overseeing the kids programming on a campus level.
  • Assist in events and other responsibilities to further the ministry as a whole.
  • Provide weekly Kids Team Member Care and Communication, including follow-up on needs, recruitment, organization, and leading with a shepherd’s heart.
  • Develop leaders through the Leadership Pipeline by identifying and training leaders for various roles.
  • Facilitate the On-Ramp session and oversee application processing and follow-up with new team members.
  • Ensure the various aspects of MH Kids Ministry are functioning with excellence at weekend gatherings, including Kids Team Member Oversight, scheduling, safety, communication, and setting up services.
  • Implement ongoing worship and programming to the level of excellence expected in MH Kids.
  • Be available to the check-in team and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Uphold standards for MH Kids as it relates to all first-time guests, including check-in process and follow-up.
  • Gather and input data related to the number of kids present and first-time guests.
  • Assist the Kids Director with a specific area of Mercy Hill Kids at a central level.
  • Assist in various all-church related kids activities (e.g., Kids Week, Fall Launch).
  • Occasionally assist in childcare related events or needs as approved by executive staff.
  • Be responsible for all campus-related Kids events.
  • Oversee any counseling necessary for children who express a desire to be baptized.
  • Provide weekly investment in and connection to families at Mercy Hill.
  • Assist in addressing family issues through counseling and/or resourcing, alongside the Campus Pastor and Kids Director.
  • Ensure all data and information is up-to-date relating to first-time guests.
  • Ensure all data and information is up-to-date relating to headcounts and monthly metrics.
  • Work with Central Support Kids Staff to ensure all necessary teaching materials are in place weekly.
  • Provide assistance with miscellaneous duties during the gathering, including first steps, baptisms, communion, etc.
  • Host a table or serve at Weekender and/or Vision Summit events.
  • Assist in various ways with large-scale events like Kids Week, Fall Launch, etc.
