About The Position

This position will be responsible for driving, implementing, and managing an enterprise wide end to end workforce management solution to create efficiencies impacting operational output and promote a positive team member experience by ensuring accurate and timely scheduling and pay. This position will lead a team of support professionals whose purpose is to advance the delivery of the time systems technology by implementing a scheduling program to aide in production efficiency and consolidating into one time and attendance system. This position is expected to provide technical and analytical leadership on projects and to contribute to strategic planning efforts. This position is responsible for ensuring the time systems function upholds Tyson HR policies and business procedures to ensure time calculations are accurate based on location pay practices while adhering to local, state and federal laws, union contracts and Tyson business practices. This position will oversee the efforts to data mine for legal requests in current and legacy systems, test upgrades, break/fixes and new functionality ensuring system functionality integrity. This will include defining user requirements, establishing technical specifications, productivity, quality, and customer service standards. They will play a significant part in driving efficiency and consistency across the time systems function. The leader of this team will ensure the necessary KPIs and SLAs are met to ensure delivery to payroll for the hourly population on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10 years relevant experience required.
  • Advanced computer skills related to time systems.
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite, in addition to other database query/reporting tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to adapt communication style for all levels within the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale cross-functional projects using the defined Tyson methodology.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and interpretation skills to drive efficiencies.
  • Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Administering company obligations while standardizing to reduce system footprints, with general working knowledge of hourly pay practices, HR policies, state and federal laws, and union contracts.
  • Leading and inspiring a complex team with high-level technology configuration skills, including selection, development, delegation, motivation, communication, and decision-making.
  • Interpreting earned time off, incentives, holidays, etc., across location-specific preferences and configuring time systems to accurately reflect these, ensuring due retro payments are made.
  • Building out large-scale cross-functional process documentation, identifying improvement opportunities, and specific measurements to track performance post-implementation.
  • Leading complex, enterprise-wide time system initiatives.
  • Escalating and driving issues to resolution, managing budget, performing resource planning, and managing scope.
  • Identifying process improvements that will drive optimal efficiency and a lean operating model.
  • Managing competing priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
