About The Position

The Associate Director-Technology II role is a hybrid position based in Dallas, TX. This role involves leading and supervising a team of IT professionals focused on designing, developing, configuring, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions, particularly for HR and related enterprise domains. The position requires providing technical and functional leadership throughout the software development lifecycle, collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams, and managing relationships with technology vendors. A key aspect of the role is leading ServiceNow application architecture within the HR Technology team, defining standards, roadmaps, and integrating technology blueprints. The role also involves overseeing the development of custom solutions and ensuring ServiceNow solutions align with business objectives, scalability, security, and usability. This includes managing testing, deployment, and maintenance of system updates and staying current with ServiceNow releases.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Administration
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation
  • Applying experience with ServiceNow implementations
  • Applying expertise in ServiceNow configuration and support, in HR and related domains
  • Designing and documenting the architecture of individual applications/PaaS within the broader HR technology solutions, along with Solution Architect(s) to align with enterprise architectural standards
  • Applying knowledge of HR configuration and business processes
  • Applying experience in security, data architecture, system architecture, and data integrations
  • Applying experience in the development lifecycle including configuring/developing ServiceNow

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of IT professionals responsible for the design, development, configuration, and ongoing optimization of ServiceNow-based technology solutions related to HR and other related enterprise domains.
  • Provide technical and functional leadership across the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, solution design, system architecture, integration strategy, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and enterprise platform teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions aligned with organizational and architectural standards.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external technology vendors to support system enhancements, upgrades, and operational improvements.
  • Support initiatives involving business case development, requirement definition, detailed planning, resource allocation, and budget tracking.
  • Lead ServiceNow application architecture within the team supporting HR Technology to deliver services and capabilities based on business needs and requirements, value streams, and the technology landscape.
  • Define ServiceNow standards, roadmaps, integrates technology blueprints, and compliance monitoring.
  • Oversee full-scale implementation, project management, change management, requirements and design, process improvement, testing, integration enablement support, and SDLC best practices.
  • Partner on configuration/development across foundational HR ServiceNow modules including HR-Service Delivery, Virtual Agent, AI enabled platform capabilities such as Now Assist and guide the development of custom solutions when needed.
  • Partner with Solution Architect(s) to design and architect end-to-end ServiceNow solutions that align with business objectives by ensuring scalability, flexibility, security, and usability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements by translating them into technical specifications and design documents.
  • Determine the best approach to the integration of ServiceNow with other systems and applications, document interface agreements, and leverage flat files and APIs to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Develop and implement test plans to validate the functionality, performance, and security of ServiceNow solutions, troubleshooting issues, and driving resolution.
  • Manage and coordinate testing, deployment, and maintenance of system updates and enhancements across development teams.
  • Keep up to date with the latest ServiceNow releases and updates by evaluating new features and functionalities to optimize and enhance existing solutions.
  • Oversee six Lead Software Engineering and three Senior Software Engineering.
