About The Position

This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and product features, while monitoring and enhancing product adoption. The Associate Director will work closely with cross-organizational teams to develop integration points that streamline business processes and research emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, blockchain, and IoT for innovation within the integration platform. They will lead cross-functional global agile teams in implementing platforms or solutions, and develop and execute the integration strategy across health sciences organizations and systems like SAP ERP. The role requires identifying integration requirements and driving the implementation of solutions to improve operational efficiency and data flow. Collaboration with CTO leaders and other API and Integration leads is crucial for identifying and solving enterprise-wide API and integration needs. The position also involves partnering with foundational platforms teams, enterprise architecture, networking, and cloud computing teams to architect, design, implement, and drive adoption of digital services and products. The Associate Director will act as the primary product owner for the integration platform, responsible for its vision, roadmap, and backlog prioritization, aiming to maximize product value across its lifecycle and optimize TCO and ROI. Developing business cases, investment plans, gaining approvals, and managing spend and ROI are key responsibilities. The role will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Mulesoft, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms, and utilize in-depth knowledge of health sciences, including regulatory standards (HIPAA, FDA) and industry best practices. Functional knowledge of SAP ERP modules (S/4HANA, FI/CO, SCM, DL, MM, SD) is needed for seamless data integration. Engagement with cross-organizational architects and leads is expected to stay updated on API & Integration trends. Up to 10% international travel is required. This position has no direct reports.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences or Information Technology and 10 years of experience in the position offered or related.
  • 10 years of experience with working in integration leadership and product ownership and developing digital products and services.
  • 10 years of experience building and provisioning engineering toolsets with high autonomy, automation, and self-service level.
  • 10 years of experience working with API & integration patterns and modern technologies to support these patterns.
  • Experience as a product owner, deliver lead in the integrations with ERP and other health sciences enterprise applications.
  • Applying soap & rest standards and architectures, working with the implications of integration technology choices to performance, flexibility and agility of systems.
  • Experience advising clients on related solutions and services.
  • Experience working in all areas of software delivery cycle.
  • Working knowledge of cloud-based API and integration solutions.
  • Business outcomes driven leadership with ability to connect value to investments and relentless focus on actions that lead to better value and ROI.
  • Facilitation, marketing and persuasion skills to help stakeholder community understand the value of product line offerings and help them adopt the offerings.
  • Experience in a global or multi-national organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with cross-organizational teams to develop integration points that streamline business processes.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, blockchain, IoT) to identify opportunities for innovation within the integration platform.
  • Lead cross-functional global agile teams implementing platforms or solutions.
  • Develop and execute the integration strategy across health sciences orgs and systems like SAP ERP, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Identify integration requirements and drive the implementation of solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data flow.
  • Collaborate with CTO leaders and other API and Integration leads to identify API and integration needs across the enterprise and help solve for these needs.
  • Partner with other foundational platforms teams, enterprise architecture, networking and cloud computing and other teams to architect, design, implement digital services and products, as well as drive their adoption.
  • Act as the primary product owner for the integration platform, responsible for the product vision, roadmap, and backlog prioritization.
  • Maximize value of the product across full lifecycle (from start to decommissioning where applicable).
  • Drive optimization of TCO and ROI realization across the products and solutions.
  • Develop business case(s) and investment plans in support of investments in the product, gain investment approvals and monitor and manage spend and ROI for the investments.
  • Leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Mulesoft, APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms to enhance integration capabilities.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of health sciences, including regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, FDA) and industry best practices, to inform integration solutions.
  • Leverage functional knowledge of SAP ERP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, FI/CO, SCM, DL, MM, SD) to facilitate seamless data integration and interoperability between systems.
  • Ensure that integration solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant industry standards.
  • Engage with cross organizational architects and leads to keep abreast of latest technology and trends in the API & Integration domain.
