About The Position

The Software Engineering Discipline is seeking an Associate Director, SW Engineering - Patriot Software & Training Devices (SW & TD) Cyber Cross Product Team Lead (CPTL) within the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) business area. This position is a full-time onsite role in Tewksbury, MA. The Patriot Cyber CPTL will support multiple contracts for new development and maintenance of the Patriot Product Line (PPL). PPL is a multi-year program, with the Integrated Fire Mission Command (IFMC) serving as the contracting agency. Functionally this role will report to the Software Product Assurance Center’s Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department within the Software Engineering discipline. The Patriot Cyber CPTL is responsible for driving flawless technical, schedule, and cost performance in support of the PPL. The CPTL manages an annual budget of ~$11M working across multiple engineering disciplines, with emphasis on systems and software engineering. This CPTL role requires direct and frequent collaboration with Raytheon Leadership, Program Offices across the Patriot portfolio, IFMC, and Patriot Partner customer representatives. The Cyber CPTL must be able to clearly communicate status, issues and resolutions to executive leadership on matters that significantly impact the program. In addition to tactical execution the Cyber CPTL will be expected to influence customer road maps and provide vision/strategy to modernize the PPL infrastructure in alignment with long-term goals of Raytheon engineering and the LADS business area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and 12+ years of engineering experience in embedded software engineering.
  • Solid understanding of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) missions, MDA radars, and all components of a modern phased array radar
  • Prior experience as an Engineering leader of large multi-disciplinary teams
  • Expertise in one or more of the following: Software engineering design, development, production, system integration, verification and qualification
  • Prior experience working and leading in Agile Scrum environments
  • Prior experience in Earned Value Management (EVMS)
  • Prior experience managing DoD proposals over $10Million to support large scale strategic growth efforts
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a complex environment
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
