About The Position

The Supply Chain and Operations Planning Leader manages the Supply Planning team to ensure reliable product supply to all customers. The Operations Planning team is responsible for converting forecasts into integrated production plans that provide optimal warehouse inventories and incorporate effective contingencies for appropriate risks and initiatives. This Supply Chain and Operations Planning Leader recommends and maintains inventory and safety stock strategies and supports the transition of clinical products to and post commercialization. The Supply Chain and Operations Planning Leader also ensures compliance with FDA and other regulatory agencies as well as company financial requirements. Further, the Supply Chain and Operations Planning Leader is responsible for developing the skills and leadership ability of the Planners and staff through mentoring, technical and business training.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in regulated industries, preferably in biotechnology environment.
  • Good analytical skills to collect, organize production plan from multiple source systems to identify any potential constraints.
  • Experience with planning process, such as demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes, manufacturing orders, Bills of Materials, Recipes timely deliveries.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP ERP system is a requirement in Materials Management and Production Planning modules.

  • APICS certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead the materials and production planning functions for the Branchburg site. Oversee weekly supply chain and API release meetings to ensure production availability, customer shipments and to resolve potential shortages and delays.
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies, and establish and implement globally aligned, supply chain planning best practices that ensure continuous supply of product, and support business initiatives such as inventory modeling & optimization and new product launches. Further, ensure that recommended plans demonstrate detailed analysis, include effective mitigation plans, and thorough vetting with stakeholder groups.
  • Develop strategic analyses through a 5-year horizon that consider demand from commercial and/or clinical products, tech transfers, and regulatory filings. These analyses must provide insight to multiple scenarios of demand, development, and approval timelines, and be developed with support from multiple functional groups.
  • Support a proactive Sales & Operations Planning program (over 24-month horizon) to create an integrated operational plan that supports Branchburg business and patient objectives.
  • Govern master data (Materials, BOMs, Recipes, Resources) throughout Branchburg site.
  • Support ad hoc modeling of various supply scenarios as necessary with quick turn-around, extremely high accuracy, well vetted and documented assumptions, and that are readily supportable by the team.
  • Develop process metrics for Planning that measure effectiveness towards achieving goals, provide ready visibility to improvement opportunities, and track progress of improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee the OSSCE metrics program at the Branchburg site.
  • Interface and represent the Branchburg site within Global Celltrion Monoclonal Supply Network to support long term business plan.
  • Implement mechanisms to ensure the disciplined and effective use of ERP within Planning and integration with other Functional groups.
  • Develop skill sets and leadership ability of the Planning team through mentoring, technical and business training, and challenging assignments that build confidence and demonstrate the team’s ability to make significant contributions to Branchburg Operations.
  • Responsible for 100% integration with cGMP and financial requirements to ensure full supply flow from raw materials to finished product and executed operations.
  • Support and abide by applicable Celltrion Corporate Compliance policies as indicated in the Celltrion Employee Handbook, Corporate Integrity Agreement, FDA, CGMP and other policy and procedure documents. All corporate and cGMP compliance training requirements must be met as required and defined.
  • Maintain and promote an elevated level of safety awareness through regular participation is safety initiatives, area walkthroughs. Communicate safety issues to management in a timely manner.
  • Should escalate issues to appropriate management level when necessary, following the appropriate notification to management process.
  • Be the liaison between the site team’s and leaders; and other supply chain forums across the network.
  • Measure and appraise direct reports performance against job duties, objectives, and goals. Provide accurate and timely feedback. Recommend merit increases, promotions, hires, and terminations.
  • Ensure staff are trained in manufacturing process/operations following standard operating procedures and cGMP guidelines.
  • Ensure development plans for direct reports are in place and active.
  • Appropriately managing medical cases following Employee Health Services recommendations
  • Mentor/coach staff as well as lead staff with a high level of honesty and integrity.
