The Associate Director, Strategy plays a critical role in shaping enterprise and business unit strategy by leading high-impact analytical work, translating complex data into actionable insights, and supporting senior leadership decision-making. This role serves as a strategic thought partner, driving clarity on strategic priorities, competitive positioning, and long-term growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering or related field required
  • 10+ years of professional experience, in corporate strategy, management consulting, corporate development, or a related strategic role.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional strategy projects from problem definition through recommendation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including market analysis, competitive strategy, financial and investment logic, and scenario planning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics for senior executive audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level and segment-level strategy initiatives, including growth strategy, portfolio assessment, and priority-setting efforts.
  • Frame ambiguous strategic questions into structured problem statements and lead end-to-end analysis from hypothesis development through executive recommendation.
  • Support annual strategic planning and long-range planning processes, including deep-dive strategic reviews.
  • Conduct market, industry, and competitive analysis, translating external signals and trends into clear strategic implications.
  • Identify and evaluate white-space opportunities, adjacency strategies, and transformation initiatives.
  • Support evaluation of strategic rationale and growth assumptions associated with potential transactions.
  • Participate selectively in M&A diligence workstreams
  • Develop high-quality, executive-ready presentations and briefing materials related to strategy topics.
