About The Position

The Associate Director is responsible for the order to cash cycle, processing revenue-related journal entries, providing support to the gross-to-net (GTN) accounting & reporting function, and ensuring adherence to generally accepted accounting principles and internal control procedures. This position requires attention to detail due to the high visibility and sensitivity of the revenue function. The role partners with the commercial department, FP&A, and outside vendors (e.g., third-party logistics, government pricing, and claim processing).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities with competing, short deadlines.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Experience in revenue accounting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing revenue related journal entries (sales, chargebacks, cash receipts, reserve movements, adjustments, true-ups etc.), and ensuring proper revenue recognition and sales cut-off is achieved.
  • Performing validation to ensure data received from third-party vendors is accurate and complete before gross-to-net (GTN) computation.
  • Performing revenue deductions impact analysis (price change, returns, pricing decision, cash flow support).
  • Interacting proactively with revenue-related vendors and Coherus’ internal functional areas to ensure appropriate order-to-cash (OTC) process and revenue accounting.
  • Owning the accounting in other areas as needs arise.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations and analysis for GTN accounts.
  • Monitoring prepayments and preparing accruals for the commercial organization.
  • Resolving OTC and revenue accounting related issues and disputes or escalating as required.
  • Helping drive operational excellence with full alignment from all Coherus business, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Preparing internal and external auditor’s requests to ensure timely and efficient quarterly reviews and annual audit execution; and assisting in resolving any issues encountered during the review/audit process.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX policies and procedures.
  • Performing special ad hoc projects as directed by management.
  • Assisting in identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline accounting processes.
