This position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Residence Life & Education programs, policies, and initiatives. The role guides the on-campus living experience for residential and graduate and family housing communities, building and fostering a holistic residential environment grounded in best practice and focused on creating engaging experiences for all residential students. The Associate Director will recommend and execute policies and programs related to the residential living learning experience, provide strategic oversight to community programming, and lead the execution of residential policies, procedures, and protocols. This role involves analyzing assessment data, providing oversight for department-sponsored student organizations, offering administrative follow-up to students, families, or faculty, and adjudicating student cases. Additionally, the position involves developing, reviewing, maintaining, and enforcing residence hall community standards, implementing strategic recruitment and professional development initiatives for staff, and serving as a Campus Security Authority. The role aims to enhance residential learning through data-driven programs and strategic partnerships to elevate student engagement, retention, and success. It also involves coordinating and managing crisis management functions and providing support for students, including overseeing crisis management protocols and collaborating with campus partners. Finally, the position includes supervision of staff, management of general administrative duties, budget planning, and assisting the Director with strategic planning.
