Dompé•San Mateo, CA
•$180,000 - $220,000

About The Position

The Associate Director, RWE Ophthalmology leads the design, execution, and dissemination of real-world evidence studies across Dompé’s ophthalmology portfolio, including marketed products and pipeline assets and diseases. Reporting to the Senior Director, RWE/HEOR, the role works closely with the Global Medical Indication Lead for Ophthalmology and Medical Communications to address ophthalmology-specific evidence needs with scientific rigor and strategic relevance. The evidence is intended to inform publications, HCP engagement, and, with HEOR colleagues, payor and formulary discussions. The position requires epidemiological expertise and ophthalmology therapeutic knowledge to shape study designs, data-source selection, and analytic approaches that withstand clinical, scientific, and regulatory scrutiny. The role develops an ophthalmology evidence-generation roadmap, identifies and prioritizes evidence gaps, selects appropriate real-world data sources, and designs and manages observational studies, registries, and analyses from protocol development through final reporting. It oversees interpretation, data linkage where appropriate, ethical and regulatory compliance, and study budgets, timelines, and vendor deliverables. The Associate Director also manages research partnerships, translates findings into scientific and internal communications, contributes real-world context to medical strategy and planning, and monitors developments in ophthalmology real-world evidence and registries.
