About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-6 years of progressively responsible supervisory and management experience in an association, corporation, or comparable work environment.
  • Experience in program/project management, marketing, and budget development and monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Appropriate judgment, diplomacy, and professional demeanor.
  • Computer skills transferable to ABA tools and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as second in command to the ABA membership entity Director, providing overall management and direction.
  • Provide strategies and procedural guidance to member leaders and staff.
  • Serve as the principal contact in the Director's absence.
  • Manage assigned staff, projects/programs, and budget (development and monitoring).
  • Manage overall entity operations, administration, and membership activities.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on entity budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Supervise one or more staff reports, including recruitment, orientation, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Provide direction and staff oversight for volunteer leadership, including meetings, training, project implementation, policy compliance, and strategic planning.
  • Oversee multiple high-profile projects such as education, legislative initiatives, publishing, marketing, sponsorships, and grant administration.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
