About The Position

The Union for Reform Judaism is seeking a strategic and execution-focused leader to serve as Associate Director, Program Delivery. This role is for someone with event leadership experience who thrives at the intersection of vision and operations, and who believes that how we plan and deliver programs directly shapes who feels seen, valued, and included. You will partner with program leaders across the organization to lead large and medium sized events, operationalize strategy, manage complex projects, steward budgets, and ensure every initiative delivers meaningful, accessible, and inclusive experiences aligned with our mission. Requirements

  • 5+ years progressive experience in event leadership and program implementation
  • Proficiency with Cvent event management suite
  • Experience managing budgets and stewarding resources
  • Proven ability to lead complex events from planning through execution
  • Experience integrating DEIB principles into program design or operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Nuanced understanding of project management principles
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations

  • Experience in nonprofit, educational, or mission-driven organizations preferred
  • Familiarity with Jewish communal life or faith-based organizational contexts preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and implementation of designated in-person, hybrid, and virtual programs and events
  • Oversee logistics , vendor management, contracts, and procurement processes
  • Coordinate timelines, staffing plans, and operational workflows to ensure successful delivery
  • Anticipate risks, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain momentum across complex projects
  • Partner with program teams to convert strategic goals into detailed implementation plans
  • Develop project plans that include timelines, staffing structures, logistics frameworks, and resource allocation
  • Ensure alignment between program design, financial sustainability, and organizational priorities
  • Steward program budgets with strong financial oversight and accountability
  • Identify smart, resource-conscious solutions without compromising participant experience
  • Track and report on budgets, performance metrics, and ROI
  • Conduct post-program evaluations to strengthen future delivery
  • Integrate diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging principles into program planning and execution
  • Identify barriers to participation and implement practices that increase accessibility and representation
  • Ensure program environments, vendor choices, communications, and logistics reflect inclusive values
  • Collaborate with colleagues to embed belonging as a measurable outcome of program success
  • Serve as a trusted thought and operational partner to program leaders
  • Build clear communication structures across departments
  • Develop and refine systems, templates, and workflows that strengthen program planning and delivery
  • Elevate organizational standards for program planning and execution
