About The Position

The Enterprise Solutions group at S&P Global Market Intelligence provides market intelligence, data, and technology solutions to all participants in the global markets. This role involves working in a collaborative environment with product analysts, engineers, designers, and client-facing teams to redefine how capital market participants receive and analyze workflows and system interactions. The product division operates with an agile and forward-looking mindset, offering an opportunity to execute on key product initiatives and contribute to the platform's evolution. The Product Manager will be responsible for building next-generation electronic workflow, data feed, integration, developer portals, and compliance tools for institutional investors. This role offers the chance to manage strategic projects, stakeholder expectations, and influence the integration and adoption of technology in a crucial business environment. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a Product Manager to develop deep industry and platform expertise within a fast-growing, global financial technology organization. You will gain exposure to multiple S&P teams and programs integrating with our platforms, influencing key technical requirements. You will build expertise on S&P’s modern technology stack, developer portals, and the intricacies of cross-asset transactional and data workflows.

Requirements

  • 11+ years of professional career experience, preferably in technical product management roles working alongside engineering teams.
  • At least 2–3 years of extensive experience leading end-to-end product discovery phases.
  • Proven track record of managing product development and driving software releases.
  • Strong background in managing API products, with a deep understanding of SOA Architecture, JSON, REST, and managing Developer Experience (DX) portal sites.
  • Experience in defining and documenting system interactions, high-level data flows, and component architecture.
  • Experience with detailed requirements gathering in complex domains; ability to work comfortably with diagramming and/or wireframing tools such as Sketch or Figma.
  • Genuine interest in, exposure to, or deep domain knowledge of finance, capital markets, electronic trading, or institutional investing (Capital Markets experience preferred).
  • Deep familiarity with various Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and agile frameworks.
  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Work Authorization: This role is limited to persons with the indefinite right to work in the country of the office location they are applying to (United Kingdom, United States, or India).

Responsibilities

  • Develop industry expertise: Acquire a deep understanding of our industry, client workflows, and requirements to help guide internal product planning.
  • Write user stories: Define new application features and workflows in clear user stories.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to refine detailed requirements, system interactions, high-level data flows, and component architecture.
  • Govern agile software delivery: Participate in and actively improve our agile software development processes.
  • Execute sprints, adhering strictly to robust definitions of "Ready" and "Done" while ensuring elite quality standards.
  • Manage strategic projects: Direct critical projects and balance stakeholder expectations around deliverables.
  • Provide occasional product assistance and technical troubleshooting for internal partners and end-users.
  • Architect API integration: Build a deep understanding of our internal data models, API infrastructure, and Developer Experience (DX) portals to facilitate smooth integrations.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives: Participate in and lead cross-program collaboration on new initiatives to drive unified, scalable platform solutions across multiple organizational departments.
