About The Position

The Associate Director, Policy is a strategic leadership role responsible for guiding and shaping policy initiatives to support business growth and market expansion. This pivotal position requires a strong and independent leader who can analyze complex regulatory mechanisms, anticipate policy trends, build and leverage relationships with decision makers to drive results, and work cross-functionally to align company strategy with rapidly evolving legislative and regulatory risks and opportunities.

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years experience in energy policy, with emphasis on solar and storage markets.
Proven track record of successfully shaping and influencing energy legislation and regulations.
Strong knowledge of energy market dynamics, project development lifecycle, and associated regulatory frameworks.
Experience working with regulators, utilities, and trade organizations.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Strategic thinker with ability to develop actionable policy strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical capabilities with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Self-motivated and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of comprehensive policy strategies related to solar and energy storage sectors.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to influence regulatory and legislative outcomes.
Represent SolAmerica Energy in trade organizations, industry coalitions, and public forums to advocate for favorable policies.
Monitor and analyze policy trends and regulatory changes to identify risks and opportunities for the company.
Mentor and manage policy team members to ensure high performance and alignment with company objectives.
