The Deputy Director, Policy is a leadership role within the Clinton Policy Institute, reporting directly to the CPI CEO. This role leads the development and oversight of policy research and materials — including briefs, memos, reports, and landscape analyses — that track CPI’s evolving priorities and drive strategic and programmatic decision-making across the organization. The Deputy Director forges cross-functional partnerships and proactively identifies emerging policy trends to inform CPI’s direction. The role provides comprehensive strategic and operational support to the CEO, including end-to-end convening coordination, and serves as a senior utility player across initiatives and departments, providing strategic, substantive, and administrative leadership wherever Foundation needs arise. The Clinton Policy Institute creates and supports an “ecosystem” of individuals and organizations committed to building and collaborating on a shared strategy to increase and amplify collective impact. Our approach is fundamentally about outcomes—not building standalone initiatives but bringing together value-aligned organizations to multiply our collective potential. We aim to serve as a catalytic platform where individuals and organizations can connect, learn, scale their efforts, and build a robust community dedicated to making and implementing policy on the state and local levels. Rather than competing or duplicating existing work, we are committed to complementing and enhancing the efforts of like-minded groups, creating synergies that generate more significant outcomes than any single organization could achieve alone.
