About The Position

Directive Consulting is seeking a forward-thinking Associate Director of Paid Social to join their fast-growing Communications team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about social media advertising and people management, who loves building new things and motivating a team. The social media team is at the forefront of media marketing for enterprise B2B clients, utilizing platforms like LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and Reddit to engage target audiences. Requirements

  • 4+ years experience working at a performance/digital marketing agency (bonus for B2B)
  • 2+ years people management experience
  • Deep expertise across paid social advertising campaigns, specifically LinkedIn Ads and Meta
  • Understanding of different Ad Units within the LinkedIn and Meta Platforms such as conversation ads, document ads, ctv and more
  • Proficiency in using advertising platforms and tools such as LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Zoominfo, 6Sense, and more
  • Ability to delegate to team members to ensure joint success
  • Ability to de-escalate client fires and proactively prevent fires from starting!
  • Strong understanding of Paid principles, including ICP research, ad copywriting, bid management, and campaign optimization
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance data using tools like Google Analytics, GA4, Excel, or other analytics platforms to make data-driven decisions and optimize campaign performance
  • Ability to drive results and measure via OCT
  • Proven and measurable success with mid-market or enterprise accounts
  • Ability to translate and articulate strategy and tell stories with data

Responsibilities

  • Lead a pod of up to 8 Social Media Strategists, setting the tone for excellence.
  • Set goals for each client engagement within their pod.
  • Ensure clients follow best practices and the company's unique methodology for Social Advertising.
  • Support strategists in overcoming approval roadblocks for campaigns.
  • Identify and address roadblocks in 1x1 conversations with strategists, establishing action plans.
  • Act as a leader by building structure, creating a cadence, providing proactive support, and empowering the team with clear communication and expectation setting.
  • Travel to visit clients approximately once per year, per client or as needed.
  • Manage a team of up to 8 Strategists and Senior Strategists.
  • Meet and exceed department level KPIs, such as client growth and goal attainment.
  • Build client trust and relationships to ensure consistent renewals with Senior Stakeholders.
  • Surface cross-sell opportunities that align with client goals and objectives.
  • Offset client churn through referrals, upsells, and cross-sells.
  • Clearly communicate results with client point of contact, executives, and internal team members.
  • Make exceptional decisions regarding strategic direction for accounts and the growth and retention of key talent.
