About The Position

The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Contracts & Supply Chain team has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Operations & Supply Chain (OSC) leadership role. We are looking for an experienced candidate to be the Operations & Supply Chain lead in support of the Product Support (PS) Sub Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) portfolio. This candidate will provide the necessary Supply Chain leadership for a growing $750M dollar business consisting of an experienced team of 35+ geographically dispersed Supply Chain professionals supporting various complex programs across several U.S. Government and commercial customers. This role will report directly to the Director, Contracts and Supply Chain of the Product Support SSBU. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Supply Chain Program Managers growth and development, as well as leading the front-end assessments and strategy development, supporting the creation and execution of sound capture and supplier negotiation strategies, internal and external relationships, and ensuring Supply Chain actions are proactively supportive of the business’s long range financial planning. Additionally, the Associate Director, OSC is required to work closely with the Product Support Program Leadership Team, and cross-business/functional IPT peers in support of PS SSBU program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other Supply Chain related matters supporting assembly, spares and sustainment portfolio across both the Raytheon internal and direct sale Sensors and Effectors global instantiated base. The successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers to ensure successful program performance and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. The successful candidate will have a track record of success in various OSC position(s). This position will require some travel to our Northeast business locations.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • Supply Chain leadership and management experience within the defense industry and/or US Government programs
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for OSC cost, schedule, quality and ensuring successful execution of program events tied to all assembly, sparing and global systems sustainment.
  • Managing SCPMs (Supply Chain Program Managers) and Supply Chain personnel supporting the PS portfolio.
  • Manage, develop and lead OSC proposal activities including task descriptions and BOEs – ensuring affordability, supplier development, FAR/DFARS compliance and growing team requirements.
  • Generate assembly plans, make/where plans, strategic sourcing and execution excellence process improvement plans for proposals.
  • Interfaces with customers ensuring satisfactory standards of service
  • Coordinate & develop OSC requirements for all gate reviews & execute proposed strategies.
  • Overall ownership of the Supplier Management process.
  • Implement and drive process improvements that result in a healthy value chain for development, production and sustainment programs.
  • Experience in capital planning (development), MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) Assessments.
  • Strong business acumen with budget and schedule responsibility.
  • Experience and interest in verbal/visual presentations of OSC activities, plans, tasks, and/or delivery outlooks and program-level information to internal and USG/Commercial customers.
  • Experience with Technical Data Package (TDP) reviews.
  • Ability to lead collaborative teams on tactical and strategic discussions to drive results and break down barriers.
  • Experience developing and executing competitive bids and proposals through collaboration with multiple manufacturing and functional teams.
