At Thermo Fisher Scientific, our Associate Director Operational Bidding medical communications leads the development of proposals, bids and associated operational models. How you will make an impact: Lead a team of 5 and work with cross functional teams including business development, operations, technical operations, finance, and senior leadership to produce thorough, accurate bids and proposals for medical affairs scopes of work. Lead the operational pricing solutions to keep improving sales and market penetration, driving wins while ensuring the business’ long-term objectives are met. Be a trusted adviser to commercial team on large deal related matters, elevate information into innovative solutions and advise sale team on winning strategy to help drive deal closures. Review, evaluate and respond to RFPs, oversees strategy meetings, direct and conduct the solutioning and production of bids and proposals, develops and maintains accurate standards. Interact with clients to gain additional information, provide education and feedback regarding the feasibility of a given program, assists BD with presentations regarding specific programs, and in closing deals. Identify areas of improvement for enhanced solutioning, bid and proposal efficiency and effectiveness. Manage the day-to-day workflow of the bids and proposal team to drive decision making and accountability for adherence to deadlines. Mentor professional development of team members and build trusting cross-functional business relationships.
