West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Trans and Queer Advocacy (CTQA) invites applications for the position of Associate Director. The CTQA is a resource for lesbian, gay, bisexual, non-binary, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual, and ally members of the West Chester University community. The mission of the CTQA is to cultivate an environment where the intersectional experiences of trans and queer people are supported, celebrated, validated and affirmed by providing access to LGBTQIA+ resources and community advancement. Reporting to the Director for the CTQA, the Associate Director works collaboratively with the CTQA staff to support the mission and function of the Center. The Associate Director provides extensive program development, outreach, and resource development; peer education program and student leadership training and development; and educational training and development on campus. This position supports students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members who access the space; supervises student employees and volunteers; provides resources and outreach; and assists with administration and oversight of the Center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer, questioning, intersex, asexual identities and experiences; experience working with people with marginalized genders and sexualities; the ability to take initiative, problem solve and work independently; and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with consistent accuracy, follow-through, and timely completion of projects.
