About The Position

Baylor University is seeking an Associate Director of Resource Strategy and Development to support and implement the strategy, development, and quality of resources for the Belonging Hub, the online home for The Whole Body Project’s tools, training, and learning pathways. This position will help design a coherent resource ecosystem and create resources that equip congregations to take faithful next steps toward belonging. The role involves translating research, theology, and best practices into accessible and practical resources related to disability, mental health, and Christian community.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Three years of relevant work experience
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Write, develop, and revise high-quality resources that help churches take practical next steps toward inclusion and belonging (this includes foundational resources on disability, mental health, theology of belonging, congregational life, and Christian practice)
  • Contribute to a portfolio of resources such as ministry guides, reflection tools, checklists, facilitator guides, sermon and small-group tools, training materials, and practical frameworks for congregational change
  • Ensure resources are clear, accessible, theologically grounded, and useful for pastors, ministry leaders, families, and congregations
  • Guide the creation of the overall resource roadmap for the Belonging Hub
  • Translate the project’s audience journey into a coherent ecosystem of tools, training, and learning pathways
  • Design keystone pathways for individuals, families, churches, and ministry leaders
  • Determine resource priorities, sequencing, formats, and intended outcomes so that Hub users can move from initial interest to sustained action in their congregations
  • Establish and maintain standards for resource quality, voice, structure, accessibility, theological alignment, usability, and visual consistency
  • Create templates, writing guidelines, review processes, and production workflows for Belonging Hub resources
  • Review and edit resources developed by collaborating faculty, staff, students, subject-matter experts, and other partners
  • Ensure all resources are aligned with the project’s vision, audience needs, and commitment to faithful inclusion
  • Work closely with project leaders, affiliated Baylor centers and faculty, creative agency partners, designers, web developers, accessibility consultants, pastors, families, ministry leaders, and people with lived experience of disability and mental health challenges
  • Gather input from subject-matter experts and translate it into practical resources for churches
  • Coordinate with the storytelling team so that documentary clips, short-form videos, podcasts, written stories, testimonies, and case studies are meaningfully integrated into Hub resources
  • Develop systems for tracking resource development from concept to publication
  • Coordinate resource review, design, accessibility checks, web publication, and updates
  • Use feedback, analytics, evaluation findings, and partner input to improve resources over time
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
