About The Position

We’re hiring an Associate Director of Paid Media to own a portfolio of strategic accounts and drive retention, growth, and client impact. This role focuses on strategy, decision-making, and client leadership, with AI utilized for execution. The company is evolving into a tech-enabled services (TES) company where software, automation, and services combine to create leverage. The CEO hosts popular podcasts, providing significant brand reach. The company offers enterprise digital marketing services including SEO, paid media, creative, CRO, and AI-driven growth strategy. Their client base seeks serious, scalable growth. The company also offers an AI-powered content optimization platform (ClickFlow) and a LinkedIn advertising platform for B2B demand generation (Karrot).

Requirements

  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Owned a revenue portfolio or group of client accounts.
  • Built systems or processes that improved performance.
  • Deep expertise in Google Ads + Meta.
  • Strong client presence, including high-stakes situations.
  • Uses AI at a systems level (not just personal workflows).
  • Thinks in terms of scale, not just individual output.

Responsibilities

  • Own Portfolio Revenue: Manage a $1M+ ARR book of business, maintain ≥95% retention, and drive 25%+ portfolio growth through expansions and performance improvements.
  • Lead & Develop the Team: Manage and grow a team of 2–4 Paid Media Managers, set clear ownership, KPIs, and performance standards, and coach the team to consistently deliver strong results.
  • Build Systems: Create standardized playbooks for client communication, performance diagnostics, and strategic recommendations to reduce variability and improve client experience.
  • Elevate Strategy Across Accounts: Ensure every account delivers 2+ proactive recommendations per month, raise the quality of thinking across the team, and step into high-risk client situations when needed.
  • Use AI to Create Team Leverage: Implement AI systems that reduce manual work by 30%+, standardize QA, reporting, and workflows, and increase output per manager.
  • Scale Channel Expansion: Build repeatable frameworks for new channels (LinkedIn, programmatic, CTV) and roll out consistently across multiple accounts.
