About The Position

This role manages internal and external communications efforts for a school or division, providing a communications perspective on initiatives and strategic planning. The position produces executive communications and reports for divisional leadership. It directs the development of marketing, promotional, and communications strategies and policies to build awareness of division/school initiatives and priorities, and to serve various communications needs. The role provides leadership on communications projects, ensuring that communications reflect divisional commitments, strategic priorities, and quality requirements. It may oversee the division/school's website, as well as social media presence and activity. The position evaluates the effectiveness of communication strategies across platforms and audiences, and oversees relationships with vendors and Emory service providers. The Associate Director may serve as spokesperson for the division/school, as appropriate, and may manage a budget and staff.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, art or other related field.
  • Six years of experience in the development of marketing and informational materials, writing/research, project management and/or information technology.
  • Knowledge of publishing and other related software.
  • Demonstrated creativity in the design of marketing, public relations or educational programs and communications materials.
  • Residency in the state of GA.
