About The Position

This role provides support for campus recruiting efforts in the network office. This position involves performing functions that allow the recruiting team to efficiently attract, recruit, select and contract college financial representatives. The Associate Director of Campus Selection has an overall understanding of the recruitment and selection process. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior professional work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop qualified lead strategies from a variety of sources (in-office: current and former interns, FRs, staff, leaders; on-campus: COIs, professors, department heads, athletics, career services, student organizations)
  • Actively participate in campus-sponsored events like career fairs, class/club talks and networking events
  • Identifying opportunities for branding on local college campuses
  • Develop relationships with other Northwestern Mutual recruiters to share leads and best practices
  • Prepare and maintain recruiting and marketing materials
  • Determine, schedule and coordinate on-campus recruiting activities
  • Work with campus leadership team to drive activity to individually attract and on-board 15+ interns a year
  • Phoning and pre-screening prospective candidates
  • Owning candidate communication between campus leadership team
  • Supporting candidates through our full-cycle selection process
  • Own Candidate experience from “yes” to intern financial planning school alongside campus leadership team.
  • Run weekly on-boarding meetings to update candidates on progress in the Contract and Licensing process
  • Build confidence for interns going into intern financial planning school
  • Own communication between candidate, contract and licensing team and leadership team
  • Recruiting calendar and communications management for owned campuses
  • Manage tracking of recruiting activity
  • Communication with leadership team on activity, needs and actions
  • Utilize home office-supported software to maintain the candidate database and accurate records of prospects to ensure efficiency of the selection process with support of campus coordinator
