About The Position

The School of Nursing at Emory University is seeking a dynamic and strategic Associate Director of Admissions to lead and elevate recruitment, yield, and enrollment efforts across its academic programs. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and assessing innovative recruitment strategies that attract a diverse and highly qualified applicant pool while driving enrollment goals through personalized, high-touch engagement with prospective and admitted students. The Associate Director will serve as a key ambassador for the School of Nursing, cultivating meaningful relationships with students, families, alumni, and partner organizations. They will oversee recruitment and yield-focused events such as open houses, information sessions, and admitted student programs, and develop targeted outreach initiatives to support admitted student conversion and enrollment. The position plays a critical role in shaping the candidate experience from inquiry through matriculation via strategic communications and individualized follow-up, while managing recruitment operations, maintaining data integrity, analyzing enrollment trends, and leading a team of student staff to support admissions initiatives and ensure enrollment targets are achieved.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, education or related field.
  • Three years of experience in the development or administration of education, professional or business programs, of which two years must be in a supervisory or lead capacity.
  • Effective public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the development, implementation and evaluation of recruitment strategies and activities for academic programs within a particular school.
  • Attends recruitment functions.
  • Ensures that the applicant pool has a cross section of diverse candidates.
  • Maintains contact with prospective students, candidates and recruiting contacts.
  • Assists in planning and developing recruitment communications, materials and events to educate and inform targeted audiences.
  • Maintains complete and accurate recruitment records.
  • Oversees key recruitment and enrollment events such as open house and admitted student day.
  • Conducts information sessions and answers questions from students and parents.
  • Conducts campus and building tours both on main campus and at the ENLC.
  • Manages a staff of student workers from recruitment of the position, interviewing, training and management of daily operations and functions.
  • Creation and management of cohort specific admitted student Facebook pages to connect students to each other and campus resources vital to student success.
  • Creation and management of admission specific Instagram account to recruit top applicants and yield admitted students.
