About The Position

The Associate Director of Admissions - Recruitment is a self-motivated, dynamic individual responsible for orchestrating Northwest’s various campus visit programs. This role anticipates and exceeds the expectations of prospective students, families, and visitors with exemplary service. It requires initiative, leadership, and creativity, coupled with excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The position works closely with the Admissions-Recruitment team and the campus community to create an enjoyable and engaging campus visit experience, supporting campus visit and enrollment goals in collaboration with the Director of Admissions and Recruitment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of one year in higher education or related experience.
  • Evidence of progressive leadership.
  • Demonstrated student recruitment and student success knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated success in leading student service areas (personnel, processes, budgets, and grant writing).
  • Experience in implementing and using student success technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of critical issues facing higher education and current best practices in student success.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as the mission, vision, and core values of the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate Northwest’s various campus visit programs for the Office of Admissions-Recruitment, focusing on developing customized visits for individual prospects.
  • Execute multiple tasks quickly and accurately despite interruptions and changing priorities.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage all aspects of Northwest’s visits, including department visit days, special group days, group visits/bus tours, and other group visits.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Admissions and Recruitment to assist/manage hiring and training of Student Ambassadors.
  • Manage and approve timesheets and scheduling of the Ambassador Program.
  • Oversee and manage correspondence to families scheduled for visit days, special group days, Presidential Scholarship Day, and bus tours.
  • Collaborate with financial assistance to host Presidential Scholarship Day.
  • Assist with and maintain reports and records specific to the campus visit program.
  • Assist with and maintain and track campus visit evaluations and survey responses.
  • Work Saturday tours and special visit days held on weekends and evenings.
  • Assign and prepare staff who assist with campus visits.
  • Cover college fairs, high school visits, and presentations to prospective students, as needed.
  • Attend meetings and functions on behalf of the Director of Admissions-Recruitment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
