About The Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the U.S. Medical Affairs Team with a focus on Multiple Myeloma. In this role, you will contribute to advancing innovative therapies in one of the most rapidly evolving areas of oncology and help improve outcomes for patients living with multiple myeloma. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our U.S. Medical Affairs team as an Associate Director, Multiple Myeloma. This role will support the execution of the U.S. Medical Affairs strategy within the myeloma portfolio, including emerging cellular therapy programs. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with stakeholders across Field Medical, Commercial, Market Access, HEOR/RWE, Clinical Development, and Global Medical Affairs to deliver impactful medical initiatives that support scientific exchange, evidence generation, and launch readiness. This position will report to the U.S. Multiple Myeloma Medical Lead. Position will be filled and report into Foster City, CA, El Segundo, CA, Thousand Oaks, CA, or Parsippany, NJ.

Requirements

  • PharmD or PhD and 2+ years of experience OR Master’s Degree and 8+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience OR High School Degree and 14+ years of experience
  • Advanced scientific or medical degree required; MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree in life sciences, oncology, immunology, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, including Medical Affairs experience in hematology.
  • Experience in Multiple Myeloma, hematologic malignancies, and/or cellular therapy strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Medical Affairs strategy, scientific exchange, evidence generation, publication planning, medical review processes and launch readiness experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the multiple myeloma treatment landscape, clinical data interpretation, evolving standards of care, and emerging therapeutic approaches.
  • Proven ability to translate complex clinical and scientific information into actionable medical strategies, field guidance, and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Demonstrated success leading initiatives in a matrixed environment and collaborating effectively across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Clinical Development, Market Access, HEOR/RWE, Regulatory, and Global teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization capabilities with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience supporting congress planning, advisory boards, medical education programs, and KOL engagement activities.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented self-starter with strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a high degree of accountability.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience translating clinical and scientific information into Medical Affairs strategies and execution plans.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and project management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead priority workstreams while contributing to the development and execution of the U.S. Multiple Myeloma Medical Affairs strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic medical partner to Field Medical, Commercial, Market Access, HEOR/RWE, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Safety, and Global Medical Affairs teams.
  • Translate clinical data, treatment landscape insights, competitive intelligence, and stakeholder feedback into actionable medical strategies and evidence-generation opportunities.
  • Support the development and refinement of scientific communication platforms, core medical content, FAQs, presentations, and field-facing resources that enable compliant scientific exchange.
  • Lead or support advisory boards, expert engagement activities, congress initiatives, symposia, medical education programs, and stakeholder events aligned with medical objectives.
  • Partner closely with Field Medical to drive scientific engagement, insight generation, launch readiness activities, and execution of medical priorities.
  • Represent U.S. Medical Affairs in cross-functional forums, disease-area teams, governance discussions, and launch planning activities.
  • Provide medical review and approval of promotional, educational, and scientific materials through appropriate review processes, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance.
  • Contribute to publication strategy, evidence-generation initiatives, investigator-sponsored research review, and real-world evidence activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning and execution for major medical congresses, including content development, stakeholder engagement planning, and insight collection.
  • Manage complex cross-functional projects, timelines, budgets, and external agency relationships to ensure effective execution of Medical Affairs priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, anticipate risks, and implement practical solutions that drive strategic impact.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external experts to support scientific exchange and advance medical objectives.
  • Uphold the highest standards of scientific integrity, ethics, compliance, and patient-centricity across all Medical Affairs activities.
