About The Position

Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking an Associate Director Medical Affairs Insights and Analytics for Whippany, New Jersey. The role leads the development of data analytics and business intelligence solutions for the Medical Affairs function, including the design, development, and implementation of secure analytics dashboards, software applications, and data-driven BI tools. It also provides technical support and training to cross-functional stakeholders and mentors and trains junior analysts. The position permits telecommuting from a home office within reasonable commuting distance of Whippany, NJ, up to three days per week. Up to 10% domestic and international travel is required. The stated salary range is $173,000 to $185,000. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission, if relevant. Salary may vary based on location, market data, skills, relevant experience, degrees, certifications, and other factors.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Marketing, Business Intelligence, or a closely related field.
Four years of experience in a pharmaceutical and/or medical environment developing and maintaining dashboards using Power BI and Power Apps to track and analyze key medical engagement and impact metrics.
Experience leading HCP identification and segmentation using SQL and/or Python to extract insights from claims and health systems datasets for targeted engagement.
Experience integrating omnichannel and claims data into a medical data ecosystem using Snowflake.
Experience developing information architecture and data systems to support Medical Affairs data and informed insights.
Experience using AI tools to generate medical intelligence reports for therapeutic areas from field medical activities.
Experience using Veeva CRM to generate analytics-based recommendations supporting medical field alignment and performance.
Experience implementing omnichannel marketing strategies using Tealium Audience Stream, Salesforce, and/or Google Analytics to personalize Medical content.
Experience analyzing digital marketing campaigns using advanced analytics to maximize reach.
Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
Telecommuting is permitted from a home office within reasonable commuting distance of Whippany, NJ, up to three days per week.

Responsibilities

Lead development of data analytics and business intelligence solutions for the Medical Affairs function.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of secure analytics dashboards, software applications, and data-driven BI tools.
Provide technical support for the use and functionality of analytics dashboards to cross-functional stakeholders.
Provide training related to BI tools.
Mentor and train junior analysts.
