About The Position

The Associate Director, Media Strategy & Execution will lead the development of integrated media and channel strategies that connect business priorities to measurable patient and healthcare professional engagement. This role will guide how paid, owned, earned, and emerging digital channels work together across the customer journey, ensuring media investment is aligned to brand objectives, audience needs, budget priorities, and performance outcomes. You will partner closely with brand, commercial, web, CRM, content, analytics, IT, legal, privacy, and agency teams to build agile, compliant, data-informed digital journeys for both patients and HCPs. The role requires a strategic operator who can translate insights into actionable media plans, manage investment tradeoffs, strengthen measurement discipline, and continuously optimize the channel ecosystem to improve relevance, efficiency, and business impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of experience in media strategy, channel strategy, digital marketing, omnichannel engagement, marketing analytics, or related commercial disciplines in the life sciences industry
  • Experience developing integrated media strategies across digital-first ecosystems, including search, social, programmatic, video/CTV, endemic and non-endemic media, web, CRM, email, and marketing automation channels
  • Demonstrated experience managing media budgets, agency partners, vendor relationships, investment planning, and performance accountability
  • Strong understanding of patient and HCP engagement, digital journey planning, customer segmentation, content ecosystems, and compliant marketing practices
  • Experience building measurement frameworks, defining KPIs, interpreting campaign performance, and using analytics to guide optimization and business decisions
  • Proven ability to operate in a matrixed organization, influence senior stakeholders, manage ambiguity, and drive cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution
  • Knowledge of U.S. healthcare marketing, including patient, HCP, payer, and broader healthcare ecosystem dynamics
  • Familiarity with media measurement approaches such as attribution, marketing mix modeling, incrementality testing, audience quality analysis, and dashboarding
  • Hands-on experience with media platforms, web analytics, BI tools, CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, clean rooms, and healthcare media data partners
  • Experience designing, creating, and optimizing content for Meta platforms and other social channels, with an understanding of platform-specific formats, audience behaviors, creative best practices, and compliant healthcare marketing considerations
  • Strong financial acumen, analytical orientation, project management discipline, communication skills, and curiosity for emerging media, AI-enabled discovery, and digital engagement innovation

Responsibilities

  • Develop connected media and channel strategies across paid, owned, earned, CRM, web, search, social, programmatic, video/CTV, endemic, non-endemic, and emerging digital channels, ensuring integration with creative, messaging, audience segmentation, and digital experience design
  • Translate brand objectives, audience insights, market dynamics, and customer needs into clear channel recommendations and journey-led media plans that support awareness, education, diagnosis, treatment consideration, adherence, and ongoing engagement
  • Partner with brand teams to advise on the creation of compelling, compliant, audience-appropriate content while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Design and execute KOL and community influencer programs in partnership with brand teams to extend compliant education, engagement, and audience reach. Measure performance using audience engagement and downstream behavior signals to inform optimization and future investment decisions
  • Lead annual, quarterly, and in-cycle media planning processes, including budget allocation, prioritization, and optimization across brands, audiences, channels, and campaign objectives
  • Make data-informed recommendations on channel mix, investment levels, and funding tradeoffs based on business goals, audience opportunity, market conditions, and performance trends
  • Manage media budgets in partnership with brand teams, finance, procurement, agencies, and media operations, ensuring spend is transparent, efficient, compliant, and aligned to approved plans
  • Use performance data, audience quality indicators, reach and frequency, attribution concepts, media mix insights, web analytics, CRM signals, and campaign learnings to identify actionable opportunities
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for marketing leaders, brand teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Define success measures, dashboards, reporting inputs, and learning agendas in partnership with analytics and brand stakeholders
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture, including experimentation, personalization pilots, audience refinement, creative testing, channel optimization, and continuous improvement of media effectiveness
  • Serve as a strategic media partner to commercial leaders, brand teams, analytics, IT and MLR
  • Lead agency collaboration across media strategy, planning, activation, performance reporting, optimization, innovation, and budget stewardship
  • Support compliant execution in a regulated environment by partnering with legal, privacy, medical, regulatory, and operational stakeholders as appropriate
  • Influence stakeholders through clear storytelling, structured recommendations, strong business acumen, and evidence-based decision-making
