Associate Director Institutional Sales Specialist, Learning & Development As a leader in designing, developing, and deploying health systems Institutional Sales Specialist training, you will play a crucial role in empowering our CE teams. By leveraging your strong facilitation and platform skills, you will deliver training through both asynchronous and synchronous learning approaches. Your mission is to create a curriculum that addresses all levels of Hospital Systems selling, ensuring our teams are equipped with the necessary skills to excel. You will utilize adult learning principles to enhance learning application, execution, and retention. Your role involves updating course materials to reflect changes in the industry landscape, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and business standards. Collaboration with various stakeholders will be key to developing comprehensive learning curricula using state-of-the-art tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • Successful pharmaceutical and/or medical device experience or equivalent experience in Learning & Development
  • Excellent facilitation, platform, and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate seamlessly with employees at all levels
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Self-directed in ambiguous situations with strong decision-making skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Whippany NJ corporate headquarters and other field meetings as needed (minimum of 30%).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience with LMR/PRT/Content Factory process
  • 5+ years of industry experience, including product launch experience
  • Recent Health Systems and/or Account Management field experience
  • Experience in Health Systems and/or Account Management training
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills, with the ability to partner with procurement
  • Recent experience in the Cardiovascular therapeutic space

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a 12–36 month institutional sales training strategy aligned with brand objectives, and account coverage model
  • Identify high impact hospital segments (e.g., cardiology, nephrology, endocrinology, neurology, hospitalists, pharmacy, P&T committees) and tailor training strategies to each
  • Design, develop, and deploy health systems training using asynchronous and synchronous learning approaches
  • Create a curriculum that addresses all levels of Hospital Systems development and skill needs
  • Facilitate training through in-person and virtual classroom settings, workshops, meetings, and teleconferences.
  • Update course materials to reflect changes in the hospital systems and account management landscape, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Run role-play, case-based workshops, and simulation training to build consultative interactions with hospital decision makers
  • Manage the review of training materials through Professional Review Team (PRT) and Legal Medical Regulatory (LMR) processes
  • Partner with L&D Director, Brand lead, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive learning curricula using AI and technology
  • Conduct training needs assessments to address current and future learning and development gaps
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, HEOR to support a One Bayer mindset
  • Provide just-in-time learning and microlearning for launches, formulary decisions, and new clinical data releases
  • Provide updates and feedback to trainees, managers, and stakeholders
  • Manage projects and resources, ensuring vendor compliance with timelines and material development
  • Stay informed about training and development best practices and trends in the pharmaceutical, device, and bioscience industries
  • Collaborate with headquarters and field stakeholders to assess curriculum needs and impacts.
