About The Position

The Associate Director (AD), Health Services provides strategic, operational, and programmatic oversight of QueensCare and its affiliates’ health services, including mobile dental, mobile vision, mental, and spiritual health. This role closely collaborates with leadership and stakeholders in advancing innovative, community-responsive approaches to care and service coordination, ensuring services and partnerships are adapted to meet evolving community and maximize measurable impact. This AD ensures alignment with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and high-quality standards across all service delivery and community partnerships. The Associate Director supervises the Mental and Spiritual Health Manager and the Mobile Clinics Manager, supporting integrated, high-quality and accessible care across all services. The role drives performance, strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensures effective use of resources to deliver impactful services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, community health, or public health programs.
  • At least three (3) years of direct management experience overseeing multiple programs or service lines.
  • Experience supervising clinical and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in healthcare settings (e.g., DMH, Medi-Cal, OSHA).
  • Knowledge of community health systems, behavioral health services, and mobile healthcare delivery models.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in clinical and community health settings.
  • Knowledge of interdisciplinary care models, including integration of mental and spiritual health services.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and healthcare operations.
  • Strong understanding of program evaluation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills across diverse program areas.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision and leadership to mobile clinics and services managers.
  • Spearheads strategic goals for health services, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and community needs.
  • Oversees development, implementation, and evaluation of program activities across mental health, spiritual care, and mobile services.
  • Ensures integration across services to support whole-person, coordinated care delivery.
  • Establishes goals, performance metrics, and accountability structures; monitors outcomes and drives continuous improvement.
  • Oversees operations across multiple service lines, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality.
  • Reviews and approves budgets; monitors financial performance, including contracts, billing, and invoice reconciliation.
  • Ensures effective staffing models, including supervision structures, productivity expectations, and workforce planning.
  • Supports and oversees contract management across services (e.g., LAUSD, USC, subcontractors, and community partners).
  • Ensures effective scheduling, site coordination, and service delivery across fixed and mobile locations.
  • Oversees infrastructure needs including equipment, mobile units, and clinical environments in coordination with internal teams.
  • Ensures all service lines operate in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including clinical documentation standards and licensing requirements.
  • Ensures compliance and alignment with quality assurance and improvement initiatives across programs.
  • Ensures appropriate supervision, credentialing, and documentation practices for clinical and non-clinical staff, including chaplaincy services.
  • Monitors adherence to OSHA, safety protocols, and risk management practices across mobile and clinic-based services.
  • Provides leadership during critical incidents and crisis situations, ensuring coordinated response across teams.
  • Promotes integration of mental health, spiritual care, and physical health services to improve patient outcomes.
  • Supports clinical oversight structures, including documentation review processes and adherence to care standards.
  • Ensures appropriate referral pathways between programs and external partners.
  • Strengthens partnerships with community organizations, including faith-based organizations and schools, to expand access to care.
  • Prepares and presents updates, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board members.
  • Oversees preparation of comprehensive program reports, including outcomes, utilization, and impact.
  • Represents the organization in community meetings, partner engagements, and public events.
  • Facilitates cross-program communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and shared accountability.
  • Supports and implements the organization’s mission, vision, and values across all programs.
  • Develops, updates, and enforces policies and procedures to ensure effective program operations.
  • Promotes a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Ensures staff are trained and supported to meet organizational and regulatory expectations.
  • Expected to uphold organizational standards of professionalism, accountability, ethics, and integrity, while fostering a respectful and high-performing work environment.
  • Responsibilities include providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback, addressing performance or conduct concerns in a timely manner, and utilizing progressive counseling, when appropriate, to support employee accountability and development.
