Associate Director, Engineer, STAAT
About The Position
UBS Business Solutions US LLC is hiring an Associate Director, Engineer, STAAT in Weehawken, New Jersey. The role develops and supports STAAT applications, including analyzing stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, and contributing to release and iteration planning. The engineer designs secure, robust, and scalable frontend applications, supports existing applications in production, and provides insight into the development of new applications. The position includes troubleshooting and resolving system issues, providing application support to clients, and supporting the full software development lifecycle. The engineer works on multiple projects in Azure using Agile development methodologies and addresses nonfunctional requirements such as performance and scalability. The role is hybrid, with in-office and remote work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field of study.
- Ten years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, System Engineer, or in a related occupation.
- Experience with Java 17.
- Experience with Spring Boot 3.
- Experience with WebFlux asynchronous programming.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Services.
- Experience with Azure App Service.
- Experience with Azure Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL DB.
- Experience with Azure AI Search.
- Experience with GitLab CI and CD.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with microservices design and architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop applications by analyzing stories, writing code, implementing automated tests, and contributing to release and iteration planning.
- Design secure, robust, and scalable frontend applications.
- Provide production support for existing STAAT applications and offer insight for developing new applications.
- Support, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues and provide application support to clients.
- Support the full software development project lifecycle and work across multiple Azure projects using Agile development methodologies.
- Address application nonfunctional requirements, including performance and scalability.
