Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and prior work experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years clinical research experience required and with at least 5 years of Clinical Trial Manager, Clinical Lead, or Project Management experience.
  • Must demonstrate good understanding of all aspects of clinical operations delivery, from start-up to maintenance and close-out.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to negotiate, persuade internal and external teams.
  • Ability to anticipate and address critical issues and develop appropriate contingency plans proactively.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills and mastery of MS excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Line management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in Proposal Development on behalf of Clinical Operations, ensuring an RBM strategy provided where appropriate.
  • Drives the implementation of all elements of a Risk Based Monitoring approach within the clinical team for assigned studies. This includes ability to negotiate with internal teams and sponsors where a “hybrid” strategy needs to be utilized.
  • Oversees clinical project teams and provides support and mentoring to individual team members, where required.
  • Oversees financial performance of the project from the Clinical delivery services perspective. Proactively identifies overburn and out of scope activities and collaborates with Project management to implement appropriate contingency measures.
  • Manages project specific clinical corrective actions and preventative actions through investigation, root cause analysis, action planning and effectiveness checks.
