About The Position

Oversee financial reporting, regulatory compliance, general ledger maintenance, and the preparation of financial statements to support optimal financial performance and ensure financial integrity. This role is primarily responsible for implementing and executing strategies established by senior management. Typically leads entry-level and experienced professional staff. Influences and makes recommendations regarding personnel decisions, including hiring, termination, disciplinary action, promotions, and compensation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive automation and AI into operational accounting processes, supporting streamline accounting processes and providing financial insights to support informed business decisions.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture within the accounting department.
  • Participate in special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Provide financial expertise in support of strategic initiatives and manage ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requested by senior management.
