Associate Designer
About The Position
The Associate Designer prepares drawings and schematics for engineering projects, collaborating with design originators such as engineers and designers to resolve design details or discrepancies and to prepare precise drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs using CAD or CAE equipment. The role may also involve conducting feasibility studies. The position creates and revises CAD models of components and assemblies, and creates or modifies manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation for production of new products. It also supports legacy product sustainment and manufacturing operations. This is an on-site role in the Engineering team in New Port Richey, Florida, reporting to the Engineering Manager, CAD & Configuration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of CAD experience with 3D solid modeling and/or surfacing.
- Two-year degree in technical schooling for design/drafting, or equivalent CAD training or experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in spreadsheet analysis.
- Experience with 3-D solid modeling software applications; Catia V5 is preferred.
