Associate Designer
About The Position
The Associate Designer prepares drawings and schematics for engineering projects, working with design originators such as engineers and designers to resolve design details or discrepancies and to prepare precise drawings of unusual, complex, or original designs using CAD or CAE equipment. The role may also involve conducting feasibility studies. The Associate Designer creates and revises CAD models of components and assemblies, and creates or modifies the manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation needed to produce new products. The position also supports legacy product sustainment and manufacturing operations. It is part of Pall Corporation’s Engineering team in New Port Richey, Florida, reports to the Engineering Manager, CAD & Configuration, and is an on-site role.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of CAD experience with 3D solid modeling and/or surfacing.
- Two-year degree in technical schooling for design/drafting, or equivalent CAD training or experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in spreadsheet analysis.
- Experience with 3-D solid modeling software applications; Catia V5 is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Create and revise CAD models of components and assemblies.
- Create and modify manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation for production of new products.
- Support sustainment of legacy products and manufacturing operations.
- Work with design originators to resolve design details or discrepancies and prepare complex or original drawings.
- May conduct feasibility studies.
