About The Position

Joining the water resources team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. Our team excels in dams and levees, advanced water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and conveyance, collection, and transmission. Successful candidates will use their technical abilities to assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with water, wastewater and stormwater management and civil/site services and help our public and private clients meet their engineering needs, while working in a dynamic team setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain in first 6 months of hire
  • Experience with design and upgrades to Water and Wastewater facilities and pump stations

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning, design and construction administration of water, wastewater, stormwater, and municipal infrastructure facilities/projects
  • Conduct site visits, surveys and inspections, and assist with data collection and compilation for utility infrastructure projects
  • Review permit applications including Subdivision, Land Development, Grading and Zoning plans, including review and development of Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control plans
  • Prepare reports
  • Develop design plans, specifications and cost estimates
  • Prepare federal, state and local permit applications
  • Perform construction observation and field engineering services
  • Prepare grant/funding applications
