About The Position

Working in the VPS R&D organization under general supervision, this role will assist in the design and development of state-of-the-art DC/DC converter and/or AC/DC system products using proprietary technology. The design elements include electrical design, component selection, simulation/test, PCB layout, and product functional specification. The engineer will be part of a team involved in the complete product development cycle, from product conception through manufacturing production. This role also involves assisting in the generation of the full documentation package for all products designed, and interfacing with and providing routine support to internal organizations and external customers.

Requirements

• BSEE degree
• 0 - 2 years of power electronics design experience
• Strong bench skills
• Demonstrated analytical skills
• Ability to be self-motivated and detail oriented
• Excellent team and individual contributor skills
• Good organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials and concepts

Nice To Haves

• Previous CO-OP or Internship experience
• Knowledge of high frequency switching power supply topologies, and control architectures

Responsibilities
