About The Position

Slave Lake Dental is seeking a patient-focused Associate Dentist to join a highly established, technology-forward practice serving a community of more than 25,000 residents from Slave Lake and surrounding areas. With an active patient base and a strong reputation for comprehensive care, this position offers immediate opportunity, robust mentorship, and a warm small-town practice environment where patients truly feel like family. This clinic is located in a community eligible for the Government of Canada’s Student Loan Forgiveness Program. Eligible Associates may qualify for up to $60,000 in Canada Student Loan forgiveness, applied over a maximum of five years while building a fulfilling career in a welcoming and community-focused practice.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited DDS/DMD Program or successful completion of the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) Equivalency Process
• Registered and in good standing with provincial licensing requirements
• Valid CPR certification
• Domiciled in Canada
• Comfortable with bread-and-butter dentistry
• Comfortable with basic oral surgery
• Comfortable with fixed prosthodontics (crown & bridge)
• Comfortable with nitrous sedation
• Patient-centric and personable
• Coachable, collaborative, and eager to learn
• Comfortable working independently on scheduled days
• Enjoys small-town community practice life

Nice To Haves

• Preferably experienced, but open to strong new grads with the right mindset

Responsibilities

• Work independently on scheduled days.
• Provide bread-and-butter dentistry.
• Perform basic oral surgery.
• Conduct fixed prosthodontics (crown & bridge).
• Administer nitrous sedation.
• Utilize IV Sedation.
• Engage in extensive orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry opportunities.
• Participate in implant placement and restoration training.
