Over 20,000 Students 10 Campuses Competency Based Education Online Associate Dean of Academic and Student Services South College Asheville is seeking an Associate Dean of Academic and Student Services to support the Dean of Academic and Student Services in effective administration of the academic programs for all divisions of the campus. This is a full-time, on ground position in Asheville, NC.

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum of a master's degree.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience in higher education or related field
  • Experience in teaching and learning principles and academic advising required

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in Education or related field preferred.
  • Experience in program assessment, outcome measures, and accreditation processes strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and overall daily supervision of the academic functions and personnel at the campus.
  • Provide coordination and overall daily supervision of the student services staff and student services programs at the campus (library, registrar, director of student success), as well as facilitate collaboration with the functional leadership in these areas.
  • Assure that office, classroom, and laboratory space and equipment are efficiently utilized.
  • Participate in annual revision of the college catalog and other periodic revisions to policy manuals, job descriptions, etc.
  • Participate in activities relating to the development and evaluation of new and existing programs.
  • Prepare, or assist in preparation, of applicable reports to accrediting, state, federal, or other agencies.
  • Ensure participation of assigned representatives from the campus in institutional committees.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and evaluating faculty
  • Assist in clinical site development and strategic partnerships
  • Assume other administrative duties as assigned
