The Arizona State University (ASU) Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation is seeking an Associate Dean for Research, who will also hold a faculty position at the rank of associate professor or professor, tenured/tenure track. This individual will serve as the chief research strategist and executive leader for the college’s research enterprise, acting as a key member of the Dean’s leadership team. The role involves strategic collaboration with research leaders across the university and community partners to advance Edson’s research in line with ASU’s overall research goals. The position's primary responsibility is the transformational growth, scale, and national prominence of the college’s research portfolio. The successful candidate is expected to bring an innovative and data-informed approach to significantly expand external research awards and total research expenditures, while promoting interdisciplinary, translational, and community-engaged scholarship aligned with ASU’s research priorities. This is a 12-month, tenure-track appointment with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The role offers the opportunity to enhance an already productive research portfolio and support faculty in securing external funding. Working closely with the Dean and senior leadership, the Associate Dean will influence research investment decisions, faculty hiring priorities, and long-term research capacity, fostering a collaborative environment for investigators at all career and funding stages. The position also involves serving as a visible ambassador for the college’s research mission, cultivating strategic partnerships to broaden funding and enhance translational impact.
