Associate - Data Privacy Analys
About The Position
The Associate Data Privacy Analyst supports enterprise data privacy and data protection initiatives, helping ensure that personal and sensitive data is handled in compliance with privacy regulations, governance standards, and organizational policies. The analyst collaborates with Legal, Compliance, Security, Data Governance, and Business teams to identify privacy risks, support privacy assessments, maintain data inventories, and implement privacy controls across business processes and technology platforms. The role also supports regulatory compliance, privacy audits and remediation, vendor risk reviews, data subject requests, privacy reporting, and Responsible AI and privacy-by-design initiatives. The position is listed as remote or hybrid in the United States.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, Risk Management, Data Governance, Business Analysis, or Data Management.
- Strong knowledge of privacy regulations, privacy controls, governance frameworks, and documentation.
- Cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge or experience in data privacy, privacy compliance, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, risk assessment, data governance, documentation, Excel, privacy impact assessments, and data protection controls.
Nice To Haves
- SQL skills.
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Support data privacy and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIA/DPIA) and identify privacy risks.
- Maintain data inventories and data flow documentation.
- Support data classification, retention, and protection activities.
- Assist with privacy audits, compliance reviews, and remediation efforts.
- Review vendor and third-party privacy risks.
- Support data subject access, deletion, correction, and privacy requests.
- Prepare privacy reports, dashboards, and compliance documentation.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement privacy controls and best practices.
- Support Responsible AI and privacy-by-design initiatives.
