About The Position

Goldman Sachs and Co. LLC is seeking an Associate, Data Analytics & Reporting in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role functions as a financial services business analyst responsible for performing and project managing data analytics, including machine learning. The position involves monitoring portfolio health, identifying opportunities for operational excellence and exceptional customer experience, and leveraging advanced modeling techniques to build forecasting models. The analyst will use machine learning to understand portfolio performance trends and identify areas for improvement. Key activities include analyzing data trends, utilizing forecasting methods like Time Series analysis, and applying Machine Learning techniques such as Gradient Boost and Random Forest for deep dives. The role also requires defining functional requirements, service level objects (SLOs), quality measurements, and use cases for product or project management lifecycles. Process re-engineering, workflow design, and assisting in the implementation of solutions to enhance portfolio performance are also core responsibilities. The analyst will identify, document, and improve existing processes for efficiency in dynamic environments and ensure compliance with new guidance. Strategic project analysis, design, and end-to-end project delivery are expected, along with ensuring the availability of desktop platforms and applications while considering system dependencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a business analyst role within the financial services sector.
  • Three (3) years of experience defining functional requirements, service level objects (SLOs), quality-related measurements and scenario-based use cases in support of a product or project management lifecycle.
  • Three (3) years of experience in process re-engineering and workflow design.
  • Three (3) years of experience working with desktop platforms and applications, ensuring overall availability, while factoring in upstream or downstream system dependencies.

Responsibilities
